I've been studying the Cholq'ij (Sacred) Mayan Calendar over the past few years and it's become an important part of my everyday life. This ancient wisdom has been passed down over time and I feel grateful to have discovered this knowledge and way of life. With respect to the Maya, the ancestors, and the spirit world, I've not strayed far from what I've read and learned, so that I can offer something that feels clear and genuine.
Within the Sacred Calendar, each day aligns with one of the 20 Mayan signs. The day you were born is important because it's your main sign. You have other signs that go along with it to create your Mayan Cross. Your chart will include a brief explanation of the Mayan calendar and a description of each of your signs.
Not only will you receive your Mayan birth chart, but you will get a personalized painting of the 5 symbols that make up your cross. The symbols have existed for centuries and I’ve seen a few different forms and interpretations, but wanted to present them fairly unchanged. Each sign is represented by an element (earth, fire, air, water) and that’s what inspires the color palette of the individual symbols. Then, I will choose other colors that work well with the elements of your cross and create a unique piece for you! Each work of art is one of a kind and hand-painted. The actual painting is 4.5" x 5” and in a floating black frame that is 6.75" x 8.5”
**Important** When checking out please provide your date of birth (Month/Day/Year). When you go to your cart, click "show order summary" and you'll see that it says "need to leave a note or instructions?" and that's where you'll type it in. If this is for someone else, let me know their DOB plus their first name. To avoid errors, it would be best to type out the full date: July, 8th 1983 rather than 7/8/83.
**Variants:
Choose whether you'd like a black outline for the symbols (shown in framed image) or a color of my choosing, that best fits with the rest of your cross.
